Mall Thai Restaurant - Wantirna

I have been a loyal customer of Mall Thai for many years. My kids always enjoy the takeout from there. This Father's Day, we decided to dine in and ordered the banquet dinner for 4 people. It was definitely worth the money as we all left feeling satisfied. Our teenage boys especially enjoyed trying out the variety of dishes available, although they usually stick to their favorite sweet and sour chicken with rice. The dessert, which was just ice cream, was nothing special but we really enjoyed the appetizers and main dishes.

We visited with a group of 15 and they were not able to bring out more than 2 meals at a time. The food was ok but nothing special and the service was just ok. The meals were over priced and I wouldn't return to this place as there are much better Thai restaurants in the area. On the plus side the meal sizes are generous and it is byo beer and wine.

The Mall Thai has been a solid choice for good quality Thai food for many years. There's nothing innovative or edgy about the food, but it's a very reliable and consistent restaurant with friendly service.
