We just wanted a good meal at a reasonable price.The RSL was not busy at the earlier time of 6pm but from the time we walked in until the time we left, we were thoroughly satisfied with the staff, meal and friendliness of every one there.We eat at a lot of RSL Clubs - some good - some not so good but we loved this small cosy Club with interesting things to look at while waiting for our meal. What User doesn't like about Wangaratta RSL:
I had the mixed grill. Large meal but unfortunately mostly inedible. The steak was so overdone and burnt that it was only good to be taken home for the dog. The salad had no dressing and consisted of mixed greens sliced cucumber and a tiny cherry tomato cut in half. View all feedback.
Our Probus club organized our 50-person jubilee dinner at this restaurant. The menu had a wide variety of options including 5 starters, desserts, and coffee. We were seated in a private section with a lighting system, microphone, and even saw the Probus logo on the big screen TV. The club even presented our birthday cake after dessert. The service was excellent.
We have been here a few times and they have been quite nice. On this occasion, I had booked a table for 5 for a birthday. A Sunday evening. The staff were run off their feet as they only had 4 staff working! The staff...were stressed. And it was not a nice experience.
Have a few snitzells in my time but this was so big I could only finish 3/4 of it It was the thickest I have ever seen.the service was a bit slow but was worth waiting for. The beef pie looks very morsish .
The restaurant hasn't been in business for at least 6 months. The employees in the kitchen seemed disinterested, and the presentation of the prime parma was lackluster.
Oh dear, expectations were low but the pork roast was appalling. The vegetables were all almost raw, the potatoes were also undercooked and boiled, not roasted, all frozen of course. The gravy was straight out of a box. Gee, lunch time options in Wangaratta are...diminishing even more. At least I used to get homely wholesome meals at the RSL. All new team not an improvement.
