Warning anyone who wishes to book out their party room. We knew there was a £1500 minimum spend. I had spent over £500 already on the room and a drinks package so this meant the night was expected to reach less than £1000. Our 45 guests drank through the night from 7pm-1am with some ordering food, given the maths would require £20ish to be spent per head this was not an issue- there were a lot of drinks! By the end of the night I was told I owed £300 and I had not reached the expected £980 (separate to my initial payment) Astounded, I asked to see the price breakdown- they refused and told me they couldn’t show me this due to confidentiality of my own guests’ orders. With no evidence from them, and the fact this was an absolute lie, I was left furious but forced to pay. I will emphasise the money was not the problem but the refusal to give proof, and overall deception. Our bar maid was lovely and sympathetic to the situation, the kind bar man even said it was completely out of order and he too was unhappy with the company in general. However the manager was one of the most unpleasant people I’ve met; disrespectful, rude and arrogant. He wouldn’t even listen to me speak and left me in tears with his foul, unprofessional manner. An appalling end to a birthday party. Advice, should you wish to visit such an untrustworthy and corrupt establishment, demand a running cost after every order to ensure they cannot do the same to you.

After waiting for food for 2.5 hours with no explanation until we complained, I would not go back to this restaurant. Our waitress initially ignored us when we tried to order, and then told us we couldn't order yet and had to wait. The delay was blamed on the chef being absent, but for a busy Saturday night, you would expect a backup plan to be in place for such a large number of reservations. The manager tried to make up for the delay by extending our bottomless drinks and helping with the bill, but the wait and frustration ruined the rest of our evening. What was supposed to be a mid-afternoon lunch turned into dinner. I have never experienced such a long delay in a restaurant without a sincere apology. It's a shame because the atmosphere was good at first, but I will not be returning.
