The Almond - Wandsworth

This restaurant seems to have closed. on the door was a note that said the building had been revived.

Everything that was served us seemed delicious. that was the first time ok, but not for every single dish not only at our table but throughout the restaurant. at the tasting it was certainly not delicious. I couldn't eat my stuff. we went before we had the chance to taste the delicious desert.

A formal environment, but with warm service and beautifully presented (and great tasting) eating. clamped into a corner on the wandsworth common, it is not the easiest restaurant to come from central london, but was worth the trip. the menu is simple, but with a lot of variety, with good fish and seafood options. the specials were interesting and with confidence offered by the waiter. the sirloin steak and the homemade very tasty lemon-green beautiful short baked. surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, this is probably a relatiw youngest risk (opened 3 months ago.) I would do this for a romantic evening meal for two and equal for a group of friends together for something more than a pub evening. with our discount the gourmet company this was exceptionally good, although without, it offers a good value for money for an iondon event venue.

Eating is less than average despite good presentation. the staff is friendly but very slow. do not go back

4 of us went mid week and it was very quiet so nice to talk. Service was great with a very attentive and friendly waiter. Food beautifully presented. Soufflé was delicious but duck a little over cooked for the main. Can't comment on wine list- dry january!
