I only noticed that the food was late because I was hungry! I have been trying different sushi restaurants to find a favourite. I was very pleasantly surprised by the flavour and texture of my duck fried noodles. The noodles were springy and the duck was tender and tasty. The fried soft shell crab tamaki was delicious. What a change! Used to be our go to sushi place for a few years. Now measly portions, the ‘signature’ rolls that used to be huge are now tiny. The rice is over cooked and not seasoned enough. Overall everything looks scruffy like it was made without any care. Not enough soy/ginger and the only thing that increased in amount are the prices. Time to find another place for sushi! We ordered from here a lot and always loved the food. Monday night our order turned up without a main item, we called the branch and the man on the phone was so incredibly rude. Firstly he blamed the uber east driver saying they had stolen the item, even though the bag was stapled shut on delivery. He then refused to send the item, or refund it. Said we had to call uber eats to sort it as it wasn 't His problem and then said we were taking up his time as he was too busy. Such a shame. We wont be using them again.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody. How can they have a restaurant if they do not know how to deal with people, perhaps working with animals would be a better option for them!
This is my first negative review on Tripadvisor, but sadly, I feel it is justified. I stopped by this restaurant on my way home last night and my initial impression was that it was not in good shape. Despite this, I decided to place an order. The staff member who took my order could definitely benefit from some customer service training. I ordered a salmon and tuna sushi set along with some salmon maki rolls, totaling £15. I expected the quality to be good and the portions to be decent. After waiting for what felt like a very long time, I finally received my order and was disappointed to find that the salmon maki pieces were already falling apart. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the tuna was a strange grey color and had a foul smell. Although the salmon seemed okay, it didn't taste great, so I ended up throwing everything away. This was a waste of money and, in typical English fashion, I chose not to complain but rather to never return. I strongly recommend that others do the same.
The beef did not resemble beef and was lacking in taste. The portions of meat and fish were small, with an abundance of rice. I would not return as there are other restaurants with higher quality and better value for money. Overall, I was disappointed.
We always get sushi from this restaurant and it's always amazing. Great quality for a good price. Lots of options for vegetarians too. Also very happy with the deliveries, usually on time.
