I visited this restaurant for work and was promised a pay rate of more than £9 per hour. However, the job advertisement stated a starting rate of £10.50 per hour. After deciding not to return for further shifts, they offered to pay me only £7.48 for the hours I had already worked. Overall, the experience was disorganised and disappointing.
We’ve been here a couple of times recently when up in Battersea. The coffee and cakes pastries are good, and feel authentically Italian. The café has a cosy, old school feel about it. Prices are reasonable. My only slightly negative observation is that we didn’t experience the friendliness that others have mentioned. Both times the service was efficient but basic. The staff behind the counter seemed a bit irritated and not that happy to serve us.
Their coffee is amazing and I love that they have lots of milk options (for vegans or people who just prefer dairy free). Food is really fresh and the atmosphere in the café is really intimate and cozy! The staff even offered me a free biscuit with my cappuccino which was lovely!
Just started working here, this is the best deli/cafe I've been to in London! Friendly service, food brought to your tables which is freshly cooked and lovely!!
Really small portions for a lot of money. I asked for a large portion, and they easily could have fitted it into a medium box (it was all that was left). Still had to pay the full price.
