Was B at Flips a mag?
I recently met a lovely woman named Tawny (I hope I spelled that right), and she suggested that my boss and I check out this restaurant. We decided to go today, and it surpassed our expectations! The ambiance is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the Budweiser is the coldest I've ever enjoyed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! View all feedback.
What Cristina B dislikes about Flips:
If you're visiting from out of state, I wouldn't recommend this bar. Unfortunately, the service is a bit lacking, and you might encounter some unpleasant attitudes. The staff could use some improvement in their communication skills, particularly the woman with the pixie haircut. View all feedback.

Casual friendly bar with Pool Shuffleboard, Stop In for a cold beer and some really good food!
After all these years I finally got a chance to stop in here at Flips on Friday 11/30 and I do say i was impressed ! I would rate it as a 5star dive bar with neighborhood class.....Very good liquor selection along with a good beer selection....And thank you for carrying PBR cans,,,,,The bartenders are very friendly and very attentive.....The place was clean and had lots of caricature ....Really cool tin ceilings.....I saw the chef come out serving food but I didn't have a chance to eat here which I will next week when I visit again......The prices where good for beer...$3 PBR's...can't beat it !!
Local bar that is generally always open late at night. Stopped in this past Sunday to watch the late afternoon NFL games and 1st half of the Giants Broncos game at 8:30 pm. Kitchen was open for the afternoon games but closed for the night game so eat first if you are coming in late . Beers were cold, service was good. The have a pool table and jukebox to occupy your time as well.
Took the wife here for a couple of nice drinks. Was charming in its own way. There were two barmaids. The one rockin' the cleavage couldn't remember that I was waiting at the bar for another drink. My original barmaid (no cleavage) was the bomb. She kept an eye out for me and jumped up when cleavage's mind wandered, and took care of me. The moral of the story is don't judge a book by its cleavage. Go to the other barmaid.
Instead of ordering the steak, I decided to try the mushroom and Swiss burger, swapping the Swiss cheese for mozzarella. The burger was quite tasty, but unfortunately, the fries didn't measure up—I usually finish my fries, but I couldn’t eat these. The standout of my visit was definitely the bartender. She was fantastic—always attentive, refilling drinks promptly, engaging with customers, and even remembering names. She really made the experience memorable. The decor was pleasant, and there was an adorable dog that, while a bit distracting during the meal, reminded me of my own pet. The atmosphere was friendly and laid-back. I can understand why locals enjoy this place, and I could sense that regulars are treated like family, which was nice to see as a newcomer. That said, I wouldn't go out of my way to revisit this restaurant. I was disappointed to find that the steak was actually $8 more than advertised, and the subpar fries added to my dissatisfaction. While my visit was saved by the excellent bartender, I don't feel a strong inclination to return, even though I generally love dive bars.

The atmosphere is great! I really wish they played music all the time. The disco fries were good, although they weren’t as impressive during my last two visits. However, the ravioli and pierogies were quite enjoyable. The sizzler was a little burnt, but since they were hosting a party, I’ll give them a pass and plan to come back on a less busy day.
I stopped in for the first time yesterday. Nice place. Good food. Friendly bartenders. Will definitely go back.
Great hometown bar with good service and great food! Fun shuffleboard to play in the back with your friends. Very fair prices for drinks and large portion meals
Fantastic service, fun easy going atmosphere. Food is delicious and portions are big.

I drove a bit out of my way for this, saw on the menu on their website about a great $16 deal on a $16 steak. Well, apparently they don't update that, and it actually has gone up even further since it's gone up. Let's be fair about prices going up because that's happening everywhere, but I do feel they should update the menu on their website so that people aren't misguided. That took them down a peg in ratings. So I went with a burger instead, the mushroom and swiss burger substituting mozzarella for the swiss. The burger was really quite good, the fries were actually bad enough that I didn't finish them, and I'm a pig.The bartender herself was absolutely fantastic and without question the highlight of the place. She was so on top of topping people off when their glass is empty, interacting with people, engaging them without being anything but pleasant and a pleasure, remembers your name. Absolutely, positively fantastic bartender, and that really is what makes this place. The decor isn't bad, the dog is cute though slightly annoying as you're trying to eat which reminds me of my own dog, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.I would honestly say that if you are local, it's probably not a bad spot. Strikes me as a place where regulars feel like family, because already you get an idea of that as a newcomer. However, it's honestly not something that I would go out of my way for. Aside from learning upon arrival that the prices are definitely higher as in $8 higher on that particular steak that lured me in than what's posted on their website, and the fries being bad, it wasn't a disappointing experience, especially because the bartender was so fantastic. But as much as I love dive bars, this one is not something that has me thinking about going back.
The best of the best! I absolutely love the unique atmosphere and charm of this place. Highly recommend it!
I recently had the pleasure of meeting an amazing woman named Tawny Hope, who recommended that my chef and I try out this restaurant. We decided to go today, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The ambiance is fantastic, the food is delicious, and they serve ice-cold beers. Simply outstanding!
Friendly staff pretty damn good ravioli... should be served with bread and maybe a small side salad but great atmosphere to relax and enjoy some drinks
