Two Sisters Thai - Walworth
Two Sisters Thai
Description
Tucked in a small Midwest storefront, this family-run Thai spot delivers authentic, freshly made dishes with generous portions and thoughtful vegetarian choices. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, and a steady takeout crowd attests to the consistent quality. Expect made-to-order timing and a compact, tidy dining room rather than fine-dining flair; spice levels are customizable (caution above level 3). Traditional Thai beer and add-on proteins are available. The unassuming location and simple interior won’t impress at first glance, but the food keeps diners returning.

One downside of the freshness is that the food takes a little longer to arrive, and it’s a small place. On a Friday afternoon/evening, there was only one staff member managing the front of the house. I'm not criticizing; I'm just noting the size of the restaurant. Despite this, we both left feeling happy and full—without that sick feeling, thanks to the quality of the ingredients. I personally think the location doesn’t quite match the quality of the food. The place isn’t dirty, but the building is older and seems like it used to be part of a hotel kitchen. So don’t let that deter you from trying it out! My girlfriend enjoyed the Thai beer and mentioned that it was similar to Corona, which isn’t my favorite, so I don’t have a strong opinion on that. As for vegetarian options, most dishes come with a choice of tofu or veggies.
Fantastic Thai food, especially considering it's located in a relatively rural area of the Midwest. Everything I've tried here has been top-notch. My personal favorite is the vegetarian green curry, which is a great option! You can also add extra protein for an additional charge if you'd like. The food is definitely the highlight of this place, while the service comes in a close second. The service is quite good, but it's really the food that keeps me and many others coming back regularly. I also recommend pairing your meal with the traditional Thai beer they offer. I would rate it an 8.5 out of 10 stars! P.S. If you typically prefer milder flavors, please heed my advice: for the sake of your stomach, don't go above a spice level of 3!
Excellent, genuine, freshly prepared Thai dishes. We had the pleasure of finding Two Sisters Thai after completing a 5+ mile Lake Geneva shore trail walk that built our hunger. Friendly service from 1 sister while Mom cooked the food. Don't be fooled by the stark interior and small entryway. This is a great place to eat.
