Contribute FeedbackNestled in East London, this charming pub offers a delightful ambiance but presents a mixed experience for its patrons. While the warm, inviting atmosphere and well-maintained interiors attract families and groups, inconsistent service and communication often mar the visit. Diners have praised the delicious food and various menu options, including vegetarian and family-friendly choices. However, issues like long wait times and inadequate handling of reservations detract from the overall experience. While some leave feeling welcomed and satisfied, others express disappointment at management's approach to hospitality. Overall, it's a venue with potential that needs refinement.
My son and I had a nice lunch and eating was delicious as ever! drinks were also a joy. very nice and friendly staff and beautiful decor that is always a plus! I always leave the holly tree feeling very happy!
Another beautiful place, helpful service, nice and quiet, right by the huge park. Simple menu, nothing pub-traditional but easy and healthy.
What a lovely, quirky pub. As visitors from outside London, we were delighted to find a place so friendly and characterful. We were made to feel really welcome and found the food and drink excellent. We will definitely return.
We had our book club Christmas dinner last night in the conservatory at the back of the pub. Much thought had gone into decorating and warming the room. It was very lovely, Christmasy and welcoming. The food was really super, large portions and very tasty. The staff were superb very patient, attentive without hovering, everything ran very smoothly from beginning to end. Thank you for a very special evening.
Lovely pub,the atmosphere is great, beers are good and the staff very good, gay friendly (that's what we need in the area). Food is really good. It's our local now.
