This community pub is excellent. It has been recently renovated and, while it may not naturally attract a diverse customer base, it offers a unique atmosphere that feels warm and inviting. The food, as seen in the picture below, was a Sunday roast meat 'Mix' featuring lamb, pork, chicken sausage, and it was hands down the best pub roast I've ever had. View all feedback.

Love this place but got served a pint and saw member of staff no sale the beer then do the same to the next cash purchase! I’ve used zonal system before and the last transaction is always shown till the next one and screen was saved on The light blue no sale tab ! I don’t know if this is a practice or theft so I’m not making accusations ! View all feedback.
Brilliant, we haven't been in there since one. but had previously watched the football here (I think in the last summer) as it was. great employee presence and friendly local to welcome them at the door. they have added a pool or is it a snooker table?...lol the price is what it is for our climate in Britain. go in and enjoy this beautiful old building, but also modern. all government policies are still in place and they always have to be vigilant and with the hygiene requirements for everyone where they or I go. large screens around the building open plan and spacious with a small outside door beer garden and all facilities are clean and up to standard. I love this place as he has been here for years and has survived the current season. get a friend or two and enjoy a good clean night out. be sure and happy...bless
Enjoyable venue to football with a pint and mate....or if not listen to music on the other side. eating looked good
This is a great old East End pub. it's not one of those hipster pubs that are everywhere and sniff. the william is a real pub. beautiful friendly local and staff.
We had gone here for lunch a couple of weeks ago and it was superb, the food was excellent the staff very friendly and helpful. So we decided to make a return trip on Sunday, the food was not even average it was very poor, when we mentiond that the roast beef was inedible, backed up by what was left on the plate, the waiter, who I had to ask to clear the plates, commented that he was sorry about that, No mention of perhaps we could give you a dessert or something to compensate.
How noisy can a pub be at 8.00 o’clock, had a meeting with friends that we hadn’t seen for a while and had to leave because of the noise although we asked on numerous ocasiones if they could lower the volume
