We always make sure to stop by The Forest during our trips to London because their theme and menu change with the seasons, and the food is consistently delicious. We were lucky to have nice weather during our visit, so we were able to enjoy our lunch of rib eye steaks and truffle chips with the roof and sliding doors open, along with drinks and a great view. It's important to make a reservation in advance.
Located on the 5th Floor of Selfridges, this winter seasonal restaurant exceeded our expectations. We had previously visited the summer version, Vintage Salt, three times and couldn't wait to try the winter edition. Despite booking two weeks in advance and being given a 90-minute time slot, we were pleasantly surprised when we were able to linger for about three hours without being asked to leave. The menu offered a well-balanced selection and the service was impeccable, as always. The restaurant's warm atmosphere, with its forest theme and stunning views over London, was set beautifully by the glittering forest in the entrance passage. We enjoyed a perfect afternoon of lunch and high tea, accompanied by a spectacular winter sunset.
This was for a long time on the list of the places that were traveled by, often, that were interesting to try, but never had the time to do this. Finally visited and chose to dine-in, and the experience was really amazing. tasty eating and shakes, a good choice of meat and vegan options, friendly staff, eye-catching interior design and a round fantastic mood of buns that made our day! recommend the nachos as starter.
