If you're not famished, it's best to look elsewhere. The woman working behind the counter was friendly, but the food left much to be desired. As a Texan, I'm thankful this place is on the Oklahoma side of the river. The brisket was tough and seemed waterlogged, while the pulled pork was slightly better but still lacking. Even the mac and cheese was disappointing, making me long for a simple boxed version instead.
The customer service and food were good at this restaurant, however, I would only give it 3 stars because I received a fake dollar bill as change when I paid with cash due to their card machine not working. I didn't realize it was fake until I tried to use it elsewhere. Luckily, I caught it in time, but it was a stressful experience. This incident has made me more cautious when dealing with cash in the future.
The heavyset woman at the counter may have misunderstood my order. I requested two portions of sliced brisket, but she tried to persuade me to order something else. I insisted on my original order, but unfortunately received a portion of overcooked brisket and a portion of undercooked brisket. I am very disappointed in the service and quality of food. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Fair price for the part they serve, not too expensive, good street food, better than McJunk food.
I had a pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and it was delicious! I should have got a cup of bbq sauce ... next time!
