The food is delectable and scrumptious and enjoyed either outside on the balcony or in the dining room, both overlooking the Falls—such a relaxing and visually pleasurable ambience. View all feedback.
What John Sivanesan doesn't like about The Falls-view Dining Room:
Awful! This place is gorgeous. I checked out the reviews as soon as we got here for my 60th birthday party. Big mistake! Everything that went wrong had already been mentioned in previous reviews. It's disappointing that the owner, Dwayne Hamilton, blamed all the guests for their bad experiences instead of taking responsibility. So, leaving a review is pointless! We will not be coming back, it's unbelievable that all... View all feedback.
PUB Review Not Dining Room - Went on a beautiful summer evening for wing nite expecting to sit on the patio. Because of the lack of wait staff, patio was closed & being in the basement, we had no windows to even look out. My husband & I ordered the honey garlic wins-they must have forgotten the garlic-worst wings I ever ate.A friend who was with us has health issues which require her to be very careful what she eats. She requested the chicken wrap without mayo or onions. Waitress was very curt'said she'd check with kitchen. Came beck- response was aid very rudely "they can't do it". We will not be back!
The food is always tasty and interesting, We have mostly eaten at the Sunday brunch where the selection is very good. The inn is lovely, neat, clean, views are great, and the staff is friendly and efficient.
This was my first visit to Walters Falls Inn and it is a lovely Inn. The front desk service is very friendly and very accommodating. We took advantage of the Spa and had a great experience with the on site RMT. I recommend the aromatherapy massage and would love to have repeat appointments. The esthetics area is quite lovely and offers a good manicure. We had reservations for dinner and found a lovely bright dining area overlooking the falls. The menu offering is nicely varied and we both opted for the steak. The presentation was very nice and appropriately cooked but the serving of steak was disappointing small as compared to other restaurants where I have been served the same for the same price. The dessert was creme brulee and it was outstanding. The service was extremely attentive to the point where we felt we were being rushed through our meal though. We were there for a leisurely upscale dinner and our waitress seemed intent on "leading" us through our meal instead of waiting for the cues that would indicate that we were ready to order or that we were ready to pay. We were one of three tables at the time. It wasn't a bad experience but annoying.
Visited the Inn for Sunday brunch this past weekend. Everything was fabulous as always. Only thing we missed was we were sure cheesecake had been offered previously for brunch, but the desserts offered were great. Thanks again.
We dined at the Falls-view dining room while staying at the Inn on a travel zoo voucher. Since our 3-course dinner was included (except for drinks and tip) we had an okay meal, but had we been paying full price (about $200 with wine after tax and tip) I would not have been very happy with our experience. If you are going to charge fine-dining prices, you had better know how to prepare a steak. I ordered mine medium and got it quite well-done (no pink). It also didn't have very much flavour despite being covered in sauce. My husband had the pork tenderloin and said it was also overcooked and dry. The desserts were both good, the appetizers were so-so. The wine list needs to be improved and pairing suggestions would be a useful addition to the menu since the server we had was not able to make any wine recommendations. Most of the wines on offer were standard popular LCBO fare and nothing particularly interesting or unique. The setting is pretty and the service was friendly and courteous. I simply felt this restaurant was trying too hard to be 'gourmet' and charge fine-dining prices without the quality or attention to detail to back it up. It was an okay dining experience but I can't say that we would return to this restaurant or recommend it to others unless they too were getting a discount.
