Description

Pieology offers a mix of flavors and customizable options, attracting pizza enthusiasts with its affordable base price. However, many patrons have voiced concerns over service quality. Reports of unfriendly staff, slow service, and cleanliness issues tarnish the dining experience. While some customers appreciate the friendly demeanor of certain employees, others have encountered burnt pizzas and a lack of attention to detail in the preparation. The ambiance suffers from unkempt dining areas, highlighting a need for management oversight. Overall, while the pizza's taste is commendable, the inconsistency in service and atmosphere may deter loyal customers from returning.

We stopped by this Pieology on our way out of town. The pizza was satisfying, but the ordering experience wasn’t the best. We arrived around 6:45pm on 4/16/22. One of the staff, wearing a multicolor mask, didn’t distribute the ingredients very evenly—often just dropping them in the center of the pizza. It seemed like she wasn’t very engaged or enthusiastic about making our pies. It almost felt like she could use some training on spreading toppings more evenly. She also kept interrupting us by asking, “Is that all?” before we finished ordering. However, after baking, the pizzas looked quite good, and the ingredients had evened out nicely—maybe the person in the oven made up for it! Although the ordering process was a bit off-putting, the end result was decent. At the end of the day, pizza is pizza.

Terrible experience! My wife and I each ordered a pizza; hers was good, but the process was awful. The staff member taking our order was rude and rushed us the entire time. My gluten-free pizza came burnt, and they insisted the blackened crust wasn’t burned—that it was just how it is—but it tasted like charcoal. If they paid more attention to cooking times instead of chatting at the counter, this could have been avoided. They did agree to remake my pizza and gave me an expired free pizza card. This was during the 4 pm shift and definitely an experience to avoid.

I ordered food for curbside pickup, but when I arrived at the restaurant and tried to call, the line was consistently busy. After several unsuccessful attempts, I had no choice but to go inside. Once inside, I was completely ignored; no one greeted me or even inquired about my presence. I waited by the register for assistance, but the employee there seemed focused on refilling ranch dressing and ignored my attempts to get her attention. Finally, I had to approach her directly and let her know I was there for my curbside order. She asked for my name and then handed me a cold pizza that had clearly been sitting out for some time. I asked for the manager's name, which she wrote down for me. The worker, who had long braids and a rather negative demeanor, was unprofessional and lacking in customer service skills. This was the second disappointing experience I've had at this restaurant; previously, I had found meat in a vegetarian pizza. After returning home, I attempted to call the restaurant a few more times around 9:40 PM, but nobody answered the phone.

I recommend avoiding this restaurant. The staff seemed unhappy and disinterested; no one greeted me when I arrived as they were all on their phones. When I ordered my pizza and asked for extra broccoli, the employee appeared annoyed and broke the pieces into tiny bits. Overall, the service was disappointing and lacked the friendly atmosphere I've experienced at other Pieology locations. When I asked the manager, Erica, about dipping sauces, she was unhelpful and claimed they only had a limited selection. The pizza I received was messy and poorly made, with the cheese not fully melted and the crust undercooked. The staff's lack of care and unfriendly attitude contributed to a disappointing dining experience.

You can't go wrong with making your own pizza at this restaurant. The base price for a pizza is $10.95, and you can add as many toppings as you'd like. My only issue is that if you want extra sauce on the side, there's an additional charge after the first request. This seems odd since they offer unlimited meat toppings, which actually costs more than the sauce.
