Was User at Pancoast Pizza a mag?
I visited PanCoast Pizza to try their pepper soup, and it was absolutely delicious! It brought back memories of the pizza I had in New York. I also appreciated the restaurant's beautiful decor. View all feedback.

The food at this place is really hit or miss. One dish has a bit of flavor, while the other one is completely lacking in it. Everything just seems to slide off the plate with barely any sauce. The pepperoni is overcooked and lacks that satisfying crunch. The texture is more akin to Spam than anything else. I couldn't help but be reminded of a sad microwaved pizza my college roommate would make after a wild night of partying—soggy, greasy, and just plain unappetizing. Many others have shared similar sentiments about this disappointing restaurant. They really nailed it with their critiques. PanCoast? More like pancake.

Walnut Creek has its fair share of tasty restaurants and quick spots to choose from. But it doesn't have a lot of pizza places, especially if you're in the mood for just a piece of pizza. That said and done, this leads me to PanCoast Pizza, which focuses on her New York pizza. Located directly on S. Main St. and parallel to Highway 680 on the southern part of Walnut Creek, this place has served its piping hot East Coast pizzas from 2012. What makes this place great is that the owner Bob Pancoast originally comes from the area of Philadelphia/New Jersey, which means that he brings many of his ideas to the west. I came here in the evening of Sunday 9/5/2021 at 20:30. Although this was 30 minutes before the closing time, they still had a very generous number of customers who were ordered for one and one order. Since I live out of town, I decided to dine outside and use the warm late summer evening. The interior of this place is quite small, but still allows indoor seats as well as TV 's, a self-service fountain ham station and a single room. After looking over the menu, I went with a piece of her sausage, olives, red onions and cheese, while my 1 went with a piece of her paprika with jalapeños. Prices here for the discs are quite reasonable as you can get a fairly generous layer between the $5-7 range. In addition to the slices, they also make whole pizzas as well as Huagies, salads and Strombolis. They also carry a fairly decent amount of artisanal beers on tap. Since it was quite busy on a Sunday night, my pizza took about 5 minutes to finish. Overall, this definitely has a beautiful unique New York taste, with the crust is thin, while still packed in a ton taste. The only real case is that since this pizza sat for some time under a hot oven, it did not have that 100% fresh from the oven taste. If I could criticize one thing in this place and that's not to have that cracker crust tastes. Otherwise I enjoyed my pane from the beginning to the end. But it was still tasteful, filled, had a lot of fat while it was generous with the blows. The outdoor area was also well lit and spacious; perfect for the comfortable Bay Area evenings. All in all, panCoast Pizza is definitely one of the better mom and pop pizza joints. You have quite generous hours open Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 am and Friday Saturday from 11:30 am to 10 pm. decent prices, a very large range of special pizzas to satisfy all taste buds, and above-average customer service. My rating, an above-average four stars.

Ok pizza ...EXTREMELY OILY/ Greasy. The crust is very very thin you'll need 2 hands to eat a slice....I've been here twice just way to much oil dripping off when picked up.

Woohoo! As good as NEW YORK PIZZA gets! Listen up, the bottom line is it doesn't get better. The place gets 4 stars because of a few idiots that gave it one because they would deliver past 4 miles. I say shut your pie hole unless you have tasted the pie. Bob the owner has a winning team that understands customer service and quality of food is what really matters. I spent years looking for something that could measure up to Johns on Bleaker Street in New York, and this is it! Thanks Bob!

I absolutely adore this amazing local restaurant! They prepare the dough on-site, and the ingredients are both fresh and sourced locally!

The thin sliced pizza brought me back to my East Coast roots! Excellent pizza with just the right amount of cheese and tasty sauce. The cheese toasted hoagie sandwich is to die for !

As a recent arrival from New Jersey, I have high standards when it comes to pizza! Today, I tried Pan Coast Pizza for the first time, and I was truly impressed! It was absolutely perfect! The crust had the perfect foldability, the cheese was delicious, and the salad was spot on! I must confess, I haven't enjoyed pizza like this since moving to California... I will definitely be returning!

Wow! This place is fantastic! Finally, I’ve found good pizza in the East Bay! As someone who considers themselves a pizza connoisseur—having grown up near Philadelphia and frequently visiting Italy—I’ve been incredibly disappointed by the pizza options in the East Bay since I moved here. However, Pancoast has changed all that for me! The crust is excellent, the sauce is flavorful, and the ingredients are fresh. This is as close to East Coast pizza as you can get in the Bay Area. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Pancoast Pizza!!!!

Margarita Pizza Quest: This review is dedicated to the margarita pizza. Honestly, it didn’t quite meet the high expectations I had heard. It was good, but certainly not the best I’ve ever tried.

I stopped in for a slice and a beer, and I left on a high note! The pepperoni slice was generously sized, featured a wonderfully crispy thin crust, and was loaded with pepperoni, which I happily folded to savor.

My husband and I were at Kaiser Walnut Creek, eagerly waiting for the arrival of our baby boy. Since we missed dinner that evening, we were in search of something quick and convenient.
