large small vegan caffe in hard competition with its carnivorous neighbours in the forum, Wallsend market. Whether they are vegan or not, they will enjoy the freshly cooked eating here. I will visit newcastle next time. View all feedback.
Amazing vegan place within Wallsend market in the Forum shopping centre. We 've been to Portugal and didn 't get to try any of these foods as none were vegan so this was an absolute incredible experience. Owner is really lovely and helpful, explaining the different pastries and with great recommendations. I tried one of each of the pastries and the quiche, all stunning and the quiche a particular stand out. My partner (veggie) had the Portuguese stew and also tried the pastries he didn 't miss real cheese at all. First ever vegan pastel de nata and so so so good! We also had the pineapple and mint juice really refreshing and the mint isn 't overpowering at all. 100% recommend. We even went back for seconds of the pasteis de natas!
We had... well, I think we tried a bit of everything! Delicious pastries sweet custardy tarts and apple pies with a Portuguese twist... savoury fried parcels of vegetables and creamy sauces. Tasty freshly squeezed juices, originality and personality in every bite. The manager is a lovely woman with a passion for delicious vegan cooking and with a really good and personal understanding of how to make good food safe and allergy conscious. We will be returning frequently and telling everyone how wonderful it is. Also amazing value... they probably should charge more for the quality of the produce! When we left my 11 year old daughter immediately rang her Gran to tell her that that's where we're eating when she next comes to visit. Absolutely thrilled to bits that this has opened up in Wallsend.
Healthy options, cheeky options, completely gluten-free options and absolutely delicious coffee. They're on Deliveroo, and they're on their own too! We had catering for our wedding reception and it was all ate! Everyone stacked his plates up and could not get enough of the pastries and pastel de nata. Vegans and carnivores loved it.
That was a great find. The Portuguese Custard darts are fantastic, like all hearty pastries - we have tried one of everyone to share, ask delicious!
A very friendly welcome awaits you with a very impressive menu. We had the curry, stew, custard tart and apple tart, and they were all delicious. Good support
