Long story short ... usually this place is alright ..... but tonight placing a phone order is more like taking an old school Ansett or Qantas MYSTERY FLIGHT ...... read more Long story short ... usually this place is alright ..... but tonight placing a phone order is more like taking an old school Ansett or Qantas MYSTERY FLIGHT .... tonight phoned a fish and chip order in was told 10mins. Drove the 10min drive to the shop paid in cash. 45 bucks .... asked the young girl if that’s right should of been 55 60 bucks ... she said order for “Brendan” I said yes that’s is my mate. Is it fish and chips ? She said yes. First mistake. Waited another 10 15mins and was given the wrong order ... I questioned the owner “is this right” she said yes I said ok. Drove home dropped of the food to my mate he was without a car and had kids..... I drove home to city. Brendan finds the food order wrong and the kids had opened the bags of chicken and chips. It was a crazy night at home with kids and Brendan decides to just eat the chicken and chips... gets a call from owner 20mins later and she realises the mistake and expects him to drive the 10mins back to shop swap the order and go on his way. This would mean his order would of sat in Bain maree for 40 45mins ... bugger that. Train your staff ! Acknowledge your mistake Surely there is more Than two Brendans that live in the area. Another mate was in shop Just after I left and heard the kerfuffle after phone call and said that owner was talking a bit of smack about the situation to the staff and to the customer. Yes They should of sent one of the staff to Brendans house with the correct order and not all the Blah blah blah on phone ! Yes Brendan should of called but actually YOU SHOULD OF NOT MUCKED THE ORDER UP! Always supported this small business and tonight this whole situation made me feel uncomfortable. wouldnt trust it anymore once food leaves the shop it should never come back! Have some sympathy next time for people without a car and take ownership. So we Didn’t get the correct food and unfortunately the shop loses 100 bucks but expects you to call and waste time and re package wrong food and eat cold fish and chips! Bugger that. Think about how you treat customers... If your stuff them around they write honest truthful reviews like this. I knew something was wrong but after being told twice it was correct I trusted the shop !! BTW the chicken was oily. Yuk 45 bucks for oily chicken and chips and a lot of blah blah blah blah apparently the gravy was tasty but thanks for nothing really
