**Restaurant Review: A Bakery's Mixed Bag of Experiences** In the realm of bakeries, experiences are varied, ranging from delightful to disappointing. While some patrons rave about fresh, delectable treats reminiscent of Italian cafes, others have been left lamenting stale goods, moldy products, and unsatisfactory customer service. Reports of dry cakes and hard cookies have raised concerns about consistency and quality. Conversely, numerous accolades highlight the friendly staff and the bakery's extensive selection, particularly praising signature cookies and pastries. Despite its clean environment and convenient locations, it seems that the restaurant’s standards have fluctuated, leaving many to search for alternatives to satisfy their cravings.

I recently moved to the area and have quickly become fond of Julia's Bakery. Coming from Fairfield County, I can honestly say that this place is a true bakery. The selection of breads, cakes, and other baked goods is extensive. Everything looks amazing, and the specialty items I tried were absolutely delicious. I plan to order my special cakes here and will definitely return for baked goods for various occasions. I h... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Mozzicato Depasquale Bakery Pastry Shop:
I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered tobogganoli cookies that were raw inside. the. Resistance is so bad that we couldn't eat them and they're not cheap! the chocolate cake was burned and dry. the Italian clam was old and stale. how can they sell baked goods like that. If you like moldy treats and a lousy attitude from the owner then this is the place to go. Went on Sunday 1/29 and purchased a small box of cookies and a coffee cake. After about 1/2 the coffee cake was gone we noticed a green spot on the bottom of other pieces yup green mold on the bottom of the cake. Also some of the cookies that should be soft like cake were hard as a rock. We called that afternoon and were told we would get a call from the owner the next day (today) no call came. We called in the afternoon and the owner was not there. He ended up calling back a short while later. Asked if we wanted another coffee cake or store credit. Really? I advised I will not be coming back and want a refund. Of course he claims he has no way of issuing a refund without me providing all the credit card information. I told him since my wife paid I will call him tomorrow with the credit card info. He could not tell me what time I could call him since he goes from store to store and has no idea at what time he will be at a location (well how about you plan on being somewhere at a certain time to address this issue) no can do then said he will call me at some point. His last statement to me was, and I quote, 'Perhaps we are not the best bakery to suit your needs. ' really? You sell a customer a moldy coffee cake and stale cookies and that is your attitude when the customer wants a refund instead of a store credit or new coffee cake. So again if you like green mold on your food or stale cookies or an owner that has that attitude about it then please come here. If you are normal and would like food that is not going bad then go somewhere else.
So we went to the one in Wallingford, CT. What is going on? Nothing was fresh, I asked for a piece d Neopolitan cake and what I got was vanilla, chocolate pudding with some kind of make believe filo I think on top, truly horrible. I am embarrassed, as my wedding cake from Hartford was delicious. Shame in you!! You lowered your standards and it shows. I will not be back. It was horrible!!!!
Started visiting here over the past year, after visiting other New Haven appiza locations and wish that we had come here sooner! Good menu variety and great preparation, along with friendly service. Prices are reasonable ' including Market prices for fresh clam appizas. Easy to find and a fair amount of parking available.
