I have been living in walldorf for 3 years and the el torero is probably the best place to take a decent dinner during their stay in sap city. the seafood plates are spectacular, but also quite affordable (18 eur!) the owners come from galicien and their hospitality is impressive. they will feel at home immediately. the place is a bit remote (1.4 km from the city center) and the neighbourhood is more a residential ar... What User doesn't like about El Torero:
we had a family dinner on a Sunday night. the place was full, so the service was also quite busy. within the time ordered and the waitress was very friendly. Unfortunately, our eating took 1.5 hours and the quality was back after the expectations. we will not return! View all feedback.
Since this is a small pub/restaurant like place in the middle of the dry land without direct access to the sea, the fish plate and the seafood plate was always a great pleasure.
Dear El Torero... Visiting my favorite time is for Sunday lunch... very lively atmosphere and delicious food. Meat and seafood are equally well represented on the menu and everything I've ever had was very good. The restaurant also offers lightly beaten dishes (for Walldorf, anyway), which I love: tripe, chickpeas, orange octopus, etc. ... The lambhaxe should die. Wines are excellent and the service is friendly and efficient. In good weather it is possible to sit outside beside a pleasant children's playground far from the car traffic. Nice, quiet neighborhood.
One of the trickiest restaurants I've ever had to find (Yes, it is located in the middle of a housing complex beside a playground) but I'm glad we did. Owner is probably the nicest guy I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Live music the night we were there and something on the menu for everyone. Could not fault it one bit! Food is authentic and tasty. If you fancy a change of the heavy German cuisine, I would certainly recommend as a solo or group trip.
We had a business meeting and went to dinner. The restaurant is a little robust, but the food is excellent. The mixed taps platter was huge, the scampis world class. The paella has a preorder time of one hour. If you have an appetizer and some conversation, the waiting time is bridged easily. There is always a trade of for good food. Overall, excellent food, fair pricing.
This place is delicious. Awesome grilled octopus and paella. The only bad thing is that you have to have a reservation otherwise you will not get as seat other than in the bar. which is smoking area and has no atmosphere. Order ahead for the paelle
