We thought this place closed at 7pm re YELP. Luckily we walked by st 7:10 and found it open. The food was really good! My ahi poke bowl was excellent. As the greeter told us some menu items were not available due to supply problems I was afraid the ahi would not be fresh but I was delightfully surprised. The staff was friendly and responsive. we came to lunch and during the service was good, both of our meals were disappointing, especially given the $13 per lunch price day. the place smelled like smoke and there was no ac. we have the jezebel and the gyro. the black in the jezebel was tender, but the huge blobs of melted cheese hidden each apricot ring. the burglars were great. the Gyro meat had no taste, much less rosmarin garlic, and there were numerous... Hands down grab-n-go's awesome!!! Usually have a fire burning outside. Great atmosphere for locals and if you're just passing through. Typically have live music and fun events throughout the week. Gastro pub food is outstanding.
Great place. Ate there twice while in town for a few days. Good beer selection, full bar with some tasty, well-made, house cocktails. And the food is simply excellent! Their lamb sandwich, called the Idaho Gyro, was so good! It was cooked perfectly, and had such wonderful lamb flavor. Their slaw pairs wonderfully, but I wasn't impressed with their potato salad. They had a pizza-chili one day that was so good I had to have two bowls. Service and atmosphere was great too. And only 20 steps from the center of the universe!
Came here for lunch on Sunday. They had a specific menu with not a lot of options on it. The prices are good, but only because the portions are small. The sandwiches were pre made mac cheese and the home made soup/chili were good. Everything else is pretty much just pre made and okay. The potato salad was super crunchy like uncooked potatoes. It wasn't very flavorful. The Mayberry Muffletta was very dry and hard to swallow and they didn't have any mayonnaise or anything to help it. I'd recommend getting soup with the sandwiches. The Frito Pie was good, but very small. An order of that with the mac and cheese are not enough to fill you up. I did enjoy their selection of ciders and beers. I also had the huckleberry lemonade.. which was just your typical fountain lemonade with some store bought syrup. Overall, this place has great potential. It's beautiful, great drinks, and yummy food when it's fresh. But I can't say I'd recommend dropping by on a Sunday.
Gourmet to go! After a great dinner the night before, we stopped in to pick up some packaged meals for our road trip to Roosevelt Lake. Man! When we unwrapped our goodies at our campsite we were delighted with some real treats. A meze plate with a whipped cream cheese tatziki, homemade pickled peppers and hummus with peta an outrageously delish chicken pot pie, an Italian sub, and the gracious chef added a super YUMMY strawberry cream cheese pie for us. This added a whole new dimension to the glamping concept!
We escaped to Wallace for our Anniversary this last weekend. Our dinner plans for Saturday was to just nab an appetizer and a drink at as many places as we could, to see what Wallace had to offer. Cogs was our first stop, and it was so cozy and fun we nearly called it a night there. Food and drinks were awesome, but the icebreaker cards and the atmosphere really just made it a happy space to date night it, or just chill with friends. We actually went back after a couple stops and closed them down lol Best part about going back... they have a fabulous cigar selection!! we dang near missed it somehow ??????????????? we then met the owner and fell all the more in love!
