Best breakfast we had while visiting Walla Walla. The food was great! Loved the breakfast potatoes and pancakes! Would have given six stars out of five if possible. View all feedback.
What Markus Schmid dislikes about Maple Counter Cafe:
Lots of empty tables and huge lineup of people waiting with no one attending. Plates didn't look great to me. Seems to be one of those overhyped places that used to be good in the past View all feedback.
We discovered this restaurant through a magazine about Walla Walla, so we decided to give it a shot. My husband ordered an omelet filled with ham, sausage, and cheese, and it was the fluffiest omelet I've ever seen! He claimed it was delicious. He also tried their fried potatoes, which had just the right amount of crunchy edges without being overcooked. As a fan of crepes, I was excited to see that they offered something similar—blintzes filled with ricotta cheese. I chose blueberries to go with mine, and they were delightful, especially since it was my first time having them. They were a bit thicker than standard crepes but quite tasty. We visited on a Saturday morning around 9 am and encountered a short wait. We opted for a seat on the back patio, which is covered and equipped with heaters for cooler weather. There’s also indoor seating and options on the front sidewalk, shaded by umbrellas. Would we come back? Absolutely! I can’t wait to try more of their breakfast offerings!
The best breakfast in Walla Walla, without a doubt! I tried the mushroom omelet, which was not only large but also delicious. My friend ordered the apple pancake, and it was incredible. I highly recommend this place to all my friends!
Excellent food! Very friendly service. The pancakes were light and flavorful. Coffee was super good, roasted for them locally. The spicy Rainier red beer is a good breakfast starter. Fast service. Highly recommend!
