Graze offers a clean and inviting atmosphere with a variety of vegan options, although the menu lacks clear labeling. The standout is the chickpea sandwich, well-prepared and refreshing, though not particularly filling. Diners have discovered delicious options like a creamy butternut squash pasta and a satisfying veggie torta, which can be made vegan upon request. Helpful staff are eager to assist with identifying vegan items, enhancing the experience. Adjacent to Graze is an ice cream shop with an array of vegan treats, making for a perfect post-meal indulgence. Overall, a solid choice for plant-based diners seeking flavor and freshness.
My mother and I shared a veggie sandwich and the seasonal butternut squash pasta. The waiter was not sure which items were vegan, but he checked with the chef to make sure we could eat them. The menu did not clearly indicate which items were vegan. I personally thought the butternut squash pasta was the best. It was creamy, garlicky, and had a hint of roasted sage. The veggie sandwich was also delicious. It was large and satisfying. I believe it had a chipotle dressing and avocado spread to make it vegan. It had a nice kick from the jalapeños. Next door there is an ice cream shop with many vegan options and pints available. Note: there are some vegan options clearly marked on the menu, such as the chickpea salad sandwich, but the veggie dishes can be made vegan upon request.
The worker who took my order was also vegan and helped me identify other vegan items on the menu. they must be fu that they can use in sandwiches and salads to replace meat. I ordered a Quinoa-Chickpea salad and it was delicious.
This is a clean, pleasant place where it looks like vegans have negotiated several things to eat – but Graze also makes almost zero effort to order it clearly and simply. So for the practical purposes of someone who enters for the first time and has no time to negotiate with a teenager who can know something while their party is waiting for you to continue... this place has one thing to order. Your only clearly marked vegan option is a chickpeas sandwich. It is good, it is fresh, it is obviously less filling than its meat counterparts on the menu, and if you have been vegan for five minutes you had a version of this sandwich before. There is a note on the menu that all meat can be subbedded for tofu for free. Vegans do not tend to eat plates of unseasoned tofu on sandwiches (banh mis, perhaps, excludes), so that is not attractive to me. Maybe it's marinated or baked or something, but again – no labeling, and you have to ask. There is also a banh mi and I would speculate that, as there is vegenaise on the chickpea sandwich, they could also veganize... but it is not marked, so bon luck for the person who wants to grill it on the menu.
Loved the chickpea sandwich, it was probably the best food I had in Walla Walla
