The Terrace - WALKERVILLE

I have always experienced super friendly service every time I have visited this restaurant. They offer a wide variety of honest and fresh bakery goods that meet your expectations. The restaurant is situated across from the Walkerville Shopping Centre, with both indoor and outdoor seating options and plenty of parking available.

The restaurant has a fantastic ambience, delicious food, and wonderful company. There's not much more to add! It's a shame it's so far from our home in the UK, but we'll definitely be returning during our next trip to Australia.

Located in the bustling Walkerville Terrace precinct near the Watson Hotel, this café is a great alternative for hotel guests. They serve excellent coffee, as well as a variety of homemade sandwiches, pastries, and light meals. Additionally, they offer a hearty breakfast that is definitely worth trying. The friendly staff serves everything up with a smile, making it a perfect spot for a coffee, snack, or light meal at a reasonable price.

The Terrace Café gains its name from its location on Walkerville Terrace. The main option for parking appears to be the street, although there are carparks nearby. The café has some covered outdoors seating street side, and seating for about 30 inside. The décor is smart and functional with a low ceiling and black tables and chairs in a black and white room. From the look of the menu listing, I suspect this café is really aimed at the breakfast and lunch market, but we have come for afternoon tea. The range of cakes is small – three in fact! – but from the empty containers, we might have had double that choice earlier. So I opt for a rating of 3/5. Except that the lady who served us takes special care, giving me a lovely cappuccino with lots of froth as ordered, and serving our shared tasty and spicy home-made carrot cake on two plates with separate napkins and cutlery. Worth an extra point!

The Terrace Cafe is one of several cafes and restaurants on Walkerville Terrace, near the Watson Hotel. It offers breakfast, lunch and light snacks. The food is excellent, and the service is cheerful and friendly. And, they offer excellent coffee. Well worth a visit!
