During my visit to the Bojangles in Walkertown, NC, I parked on the other side of the building to grab a bite. Unfortunately, the bow rounds were at room temperature. The gravy biscuit was only lukewarm, and the steak biscuit was not only undercooked—appearing more white than properly cooked—but also hard and cold. I tried calling the restaurant, which had just a couple of cars in the parking lot, but after several attempts, no one picked up. You might ask why I didn’t go inside myself: I’m disabled, my left foot is broken, which makes walking very challenging, and I was on my way to church with my mother.
First, you need to focus on cleaning your establishment. Second, having employees smoking outside is unprofessional. When I asked the gentleman at the drive-thru if the food was fresh, he honestly replied that it wasn’t. I decided to wait, since I’m paying a good amount for my meal and expect fresh food. Unfortunately, it wasn't fresh at all. My family and I won't be returning. The place needs new management and oversight. I should have suspected something when I saw a 90 rating at the window. It's no surprise that people in Walkertown don't like your restaurant. I'm sorry to say this, but it's the truth.
This visit was truly delightful, much like most of my previous experiences at this restaurant. My last visit, just a week ago, wasn't as pleasant; despite clearly repeating my order both in line and at the counter, there were still errors. I didn't make any special requests; I simply ordered three items. If I had taken a drink every time the employee read off a different list than what I wanted, I would have been in a tough spot. Fortunately, today everything went perfectly—the order was spot on, my request was fulfilled, and the food was outstanding!
I went to pick up my order at the drive-thru, as the app directed me to come between 2 PM and 9 PM. However, when I got to the window, I was told that I needed to go inside instead. I also noticed that the sanitation grade was 76, and I could see trash through the window.
I ordered a two-piece leg and thigh meal, but they were out of legs. The sweet tea tasted like watered-down plain tea, the dirty rice was bland and slightly burnt, and I didn’t receive the cole slaw I asked for. The customer service was good, but aside from that, my experience was really disappointing, especially since I was on my way to work.
