I usually try a place a few times before posting an opinion, but I need this place to stay. Amazing little place tucked into a gas station. Everyone very friendly and after ordering spicy I was presented with a taste to make sure I would be happy with the level of spice. Appetizer of Gobi Manchurian dry was perfectly battered cauliflower , spicy and sweet- balanced flavor. Palak paneer ,a blend of spinach and a simple cheese was delicious. True hidden gem
Top knot Indian food. I have been here three times. I crave this stuff. It's so good. Most things are made to order. Sometimes it takes a while 15-20 mins or so of a wait. Trust me it is worth it. The owners are so sweet also. This place is authentic Indian. They even play Indian tv while you wait. It's great. I will be back possibly every week even. I admit I am here the second day in a row this week.
First time here, and will definitely be back! Everything we got delicious and the owners go above and beyond! They helped pick out something mild enough for my one year old- she loved it too! A nice change of pace from the typical food in the Walker, LA.
Did you know Walker has a really good Indian restaurant attached to a gas station? Sweet N Spice is SO GOOD! In Valero gas station on Florida Blvd where it meets Burgess (Walker, LA. Not just Indian food but po-boys, wraps, burgers (I want the spicy tandoori chicken burger, breakfast, INDIAN breakfast (cheese egg dosa, etc desserts, snacks drinks and more. Today I got Tikka Masala and Honey Chili Cauliflower. It was so fresh and piping hot, and they were so friendly. I loved how authentic it was here, I walked in and they had regulars in watching Indian TV. They switched it to Food network when I got here and I wanted to say switch it back Loved the garlic naan just wished it was a little crispier. I've waited to try this place because I've had bad gas station Indian food before and was reluctant. Glad I came!!!
My wife had been seeing all of the rave reviews for this business on Facebook for quite some time. We were wanting something different So, we decided to go here. We told the man we have only eaten Indian food one other time before this. He suggested the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken. We got the Two Curries for $5.99 (comes with rice and Naan) deal to take home. Loved both dishes and the Naan. We will have to come back and try other dishes. Everyone was extremely nice. Awesome customer service.
