Before the pandemic, it was a balanced restaurant and carryout spot, but now it feels more like a carryout place with limited dining options. This change might explain why they didn't renew their liquor license, which means if you dine in, you won't have any beer to enjoy with your ribs—doesn't that feel a bit un-American? The atmosphere has shifted as well; it's no longer vibrant or inviting, making it less appealing to sit and enjoy a meal. While I was there for lunch with about a dozen others, the meat dishes were outstanding, receiving a solid 5/5. The people who had the fried fish, both whiting and catfish, found it perfectly cooked. Those who ordered ribs really enjoyed their meal and still had leftovers to take home. The pulled pork was equally satisfying. However, some sides were disappointing, scoring only a 3/5. I wouldn't recommend the mac and cheese, which was a messy, greasy disaster. The fried cabbage also missed the mark for me. On the other hand, the fried pork skins were excellent; they were complimentary for our group, and I would gladly pay over $5 for them again. If you plan to eat in, I recommend calling ahead to make a reservation or discuss your options, as the staff mentioned they don’t accept walk-ins. Our waiter did an excellent job, especially considering it was his first time, and the whole team worked well together to accommodate us.

Or the type or sauce on the side... it gave a more so carry out vibe. Staff was really nice. But for the price lack of seasoning I would probably not to go back.

Just got back in town the first thing I wanted was Lefty?s. My husband ordered the fried fish, which turned out looking tasting like it hadbeen re-heated. They forgot to put the coke slaw on my sandwich it was so salty that it tasted like I had eaten a spoonful ofsalt! Lefty?s was truly disappointing today!

The ribs were over cooked, hard and dry. If l hadn't been so tired and far away I would have returned them. Verydisappointing!!
