The Golden Lion - Wakefield

The riverfront location is nice for enjoying a few drinks. The pub overlooks a large flyover, which can obstruct the view of the sky a bit. There is a small parking lot with space for about 10 cars. It's a lovely spot for a walk along the canal. I ordered a pint of a beautiful pale ale, which was refreshing and cold. The pub is clean, and the male restroom is modern and tidy.

This restaurant, located just 10 meters from the canal where we docked our boat, has a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.

At the Golden Lion Pub/Hotel, you will encounter a variety of experiences. The rooms are affordable and perfect for contractors, conveniently located near the autobahn. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the menu offers a great selection of dishes to choose from. The beer garden, although small, provides a cozy atmosphere. The view of the channel is a delight. I would definitely visit again and recommend this place to others.

Lovely food. Me and 2 friends visited yesterday Tuesday) had a lovely lunch, we all opted for burger and chips. It came with two beef burgers in a toasted burger bun, fresh salad, homemade coleslaw, pickles and homemade chips. Nothing to complain about here. Pub lovely and clean and very welcoming. Shame the owner removed the two managers that made this happen, we will not be returning any time soon.
