I recently decided to give this restaurant another try, and I was pleasantly surprised by the improvements. The food was amazing, thanks to the chefs Gabs and Nicky who prepared it to our liking, despite our pickiness. The service was quick and very polite, and the pub was clean and tidy. I will definitely recommend this place to others and I will be returning soon.
Went for drinks, it took staff 25 minutes to take order for the drinks, even though the place was empty. A member of the party wasn’t a wearing mask and her excemption was questioned, when we told the staff member he can’t question the excemption he replied “I can do what I want” . The app didn’t work and we got told “if you don’t order though the app you’ll be at the back of the queue” when we got round to ordering drinks, we went to move outside and even though the staff member had made our drinks and they came out to take someone else’s order, they never bought our drinks out. We end up leaving without our drinks and we most certainly not be going back.
We went to this restaurant for a birthday meal with our family. The food was delicious, especially the pizzas, but three family members ordered steak well done and it came rare. We wanted to pay with cash, but the manager told us it was app only, even though we saw other tables paying with cash. The staff were friendly, but we were not given any cutlery or sauces. When we tried to ask someone for them, we were just told to go back to our tables. The staff seemed very lazy.
I live nearby this pub so I often come here out of convenience. I visited just after the third lockdown and was pleasantly surprised by the significant improvement in the quality of the meals and the new staff. However, after visiting for a second time post-lockdown, I was disappointed to find that the food standards had dropped and the old staff had returned. This visit was underwhelming and we have decided not to come back again. The fact that the restaurant was empty by 8pm on a Friday evening speaks volumes.
This was our first outing since the reduction of lockdown and we were sadly disappointed. The food was tasteless, the background music was almost deafening and there was zero atmosphere in the bar. We were also surprised that customers had to go to queue at the bar to order food thus not complying with the Government Covid Social distancing requirements and despite notices requesting customers to maintain safe personal distance. Extremely disappointed
