Although the restaurant is bustling, with freshly prepared food during peak times, chaos often reigns, leaving patrons frustrated. Visitors seeking reliable service may want to reconsider their options in the fast-food arena.
I left a 1 star review on Saturday on the j ust eat platform. For a online delivery we received that was someone else's. Whilst we had to drive back to the restaurant to return. Matter resolved quickly. Apologies all round very nice young lady my husband dealt with and extra flat breads given free of charge much appreciated. Food was lovely and hot. Well redeemed.
Ordered breakfast took over an hour to come. Ordered a bacon roll with ketchup came without ketchup. It was disgusting and cold with no way to complain to Mcdonalds!
I placed an order through the McDonald's app and it was delivered by Uber Eats. Unfortunately, it took over an hour for the food to arrive, and when it did, some of the items were missing and the food was cold. Attempted to reheat it in the microwave, but the fries and nuggets did not taste good reheated. Additionally, the McFlurries and Milkshakes are consistently unavailable. We decided to try Burger King this week and were pleasantly surprised when our order arrived within 15 minutes, hot, and with no missing items. McDonald's, this is disappointing! If you try to complain, you'll just get passed back and forth between McDonald's and Uber Eats. Save your money and opt for the drive-thru if you're craving McDonald's, but be prepared for disappointment if you're looking for a milkshake or McFlurry.
My recent visits to the restaurant itself have also been disappointing. I placed an order at a booth, my number appeared on the screen, but then disappeared. When I inquired, I was told it was because the order was just ready to be called. However, 20 minutes later, my food still hadn't arrived despite other orders being delivered. After raising the issue again, my order was finally ready, but the McFlurry was runny as it had been prepared before anything else and left out. I complained to McDonald’s, who blamed Uber Eats, and when I raised the issue with Uber Eats, they said they couldn't help due to an app issue with McDonald’s. I did not receive a refund for the ruined meal. I will not be patronizing this McDonald’s in Pontefract again, as it seems they do not value their customers and take them for granted.
Wasn't allowed to brush my hair, however a member of staff was openly telling customers about the boxers covered in poo that she found in the toilets. Very off-putting.
