Kev's Of Stanley - Wakefield

My wife and I stopped by on our way home from work because we had heard good things about this place. I was tempted to order Kev's jumbo sausage when I looked at the menu, but my wife insisted that I try the fish instead. The variety of soft drinks they offer is impressive, including dandelion and burdock, cherry cola, limeade, and American cream soda. However, the highlight of our meal was the jumbo cod and chips, generously seasoned with vinegar and salt, served with tomato ketchup and onion rings on the side. The freshness of the food made me feel like we were actually by the seaside, with the fish just caught and cooked for us. But of course, we were in Wakefield, far from the sea! We will definitely be returning, Kev!

We work near this wonderful local fish and chip shop and usually visit at least once a week. The portion of fish is a good size with a light, crispy batter that is really delicious. The friendly staff, who are also the owners, always have a smile on their faces. Even though I know spam fritters are not the healthiest option, they are also delicious if you enjoy that kind of treat. Overall, this place is worth a try if you are in the area.

I really enjoy the fish and chips at this restaurant. I always stop by on my way home from work for a delicious meal. The kids meals are always great too, so even as they have grown up, they still love coming here. The fact that this fish shop has been in the village for years is a sure sign of its quality.
