Was Evelyn Fox at Dd's Services a mag?
Spur of the moment but a great find though initially I did wonder judging from the exterior. Pleasant menu it was like a throw back to the 1980s with 'mother ' doing the cooking and somewhat dated furnishings, Nevertheless a pleasant pair of toasted teacakes....As we were in Yorkshire a good showing of various combinations of Yorkshire puddings, gravy etc etc View all feedback.
What Naomi Marshall dislikes about Dd's Services:
wc services it says on the motorway sign, not so unless you buy a drink etc and they were blocked of when i went, and the outside toilets are for lorry drivers only (door code needed) so if you busting for one pass this this place...which when you actually get close looks like a truck stop cafe you see on a backwater road in Romania View all feedback.
Minutes ago What a little gem this place is, have driven past so many times as was never sure it was open. Put petrol in and thought we’d try the door and so glad we did, freshly cooked food (my favourite of Fish Finger...Sandwich was always a win and such a lovely waitress, will definitely be back x

This was purely a comfort stop on our way down to the Channel Tunnel. However, the sign on the door said “Toilet for customers only” so I asked the lady behind the counter if I could use the toilet first, before we had a coffee....Not a problem. The place took me back years when we first started driving around the UK. So after the loo, ordered coffee and a hot chocolate. Hubby decided he’d have a bacon sandwich. I decided I didn’t need one, but once we’d sat down at the clean table, and the bacon roll arrived, I decided I needed one. Best bacon roll we’d had on our month in the UK. The service couldn’t have been better, courteous, nothing too much trouble. The is no longer a favourite, but this place knocks the socks off a motorway service station. Keep up the great work girls.
We have been to this restaurant many times before, but when we saw it looking a bit quiet, we almost didn't stop in. However, this time we decided to take a break due to heavy traffic on our journey, and we were very happy that we did. The staff was helpful, friendly, and welcoming, which made it a very pleasant pit stop for us. We ended up staying longer than we had planned. We will definitely be stopping by again when we travel this route.
Make sure to stop here for a much-needed late coffee break. The exterior may not be the most appealing, but inside it is clean and serves freshly cooked food. I enjoyed a delicious cheese and onion toastie, while my partner had the chicken and bacon. We also ordered 2 instant coffees to keep us going until dinner.
