What Stephanie Tjebben doesn't like about Costa Coffee:
Ordered a caramel frappe, a toastie and a brownie. The toastie is pretty good and warm enough, but the frappe is poor, especially for £5. Could get a cheaper, better one from mcdonalds. Booked in advance to get here for 12pm, didn't arrive until nearly quarter past, but I think that's more on the driver than costa themselves to be fair, considering I'm pretty sure he didn't even get to costa for my order until after... I like the Ruby drink but sometimes it doesn't right and friend had a fudge one and she said didn't taste like fudge.
I visited this Costa at around midday on (01/09/2022) as I was driving past, hungry and needed to set up somewhere for an online work meeting I had I opted for the dine in instead of drive through due to this. I am a big fan of Costa and know their standards and I can genuinely say that this visit exceeded any service I have had before. I was served by two young lads on the front counter (which was nice as most Costas have only women) and they were lovely. They had a conversation, asked how my day was, were fast and we even shared a laugh. Currently, I am using walking aids and they recognised this, told me to take a seat and they brought it over when it was ready. Around 5 minutes after I received my order, one of the same lads asked me if everything was okay which I have never had before in a Costa. An hour later and after my work meeting, the other young man saw me standing up proceeded to take my tray and even walked to the door and held it open for me. Couldn't have had better service, I wish I had caught their names. I just want to say thank you and I hope you both get recognition for your amazing attitudes!
Visited yesterday with family. There were flies crawling all over the cake brownie selection. I pointed this out to the guy serving who said he’d have them swapped he didn’t! Behind the counter near the drive through hatch was disgusting. Bin bags everywhere full of rubbish, empty cups and lids on the floor. None of the tables were cleared for new customers to sit down. Won’t be returning
Not been here in a while and it’s safe to say I won’t be back either. The state of shop was disgusting. There were 10 tables with all the crockery left uncleared which left nowhere for anyone to sit. Staff were so slow in the store because apparently the speed they serve in the drive thru is more important Ordered 2 drinks and 2 cakes and they managed to get one wrong because the young girl serving was too busy talking. What put the top hat on was… needed the toilet. Currently on crutches with 2 broken ankles. When I got to the toilet it was in use fair enough . So I waited as I needed the rails to stabilise myself. Staff member was using the disabled toilet and then just let the door slam and didn’t hold the door open. Ended up struggling and nearly falling over because the door was a fire door and closed each time. Furthermore, the rails looked like they’d not seen disinfectant forever. Thank heavens for antibacterial hand sanitiser. EWWWWW! Never again! I’m off to Starbucks next time
