Contribute Feedback What Robert Field likes about La Farm:
I live in Cary and La Farm is a weekend staple, but Corinna the other morning pre-flight was zooming around with a great smile and helped me package up my breakfast for a little later in the morning. RDU is lucky to have both Corinna and La Farm View all feedback.
What Martha Burris doesn't like about La Farm:
We stood in a very long line. We bought $50 worth of food and drinks. We sat down at your tables in an extremely rude. Waitress came by today, August 23rd at 11:56 a.m. p.m. And informed everyone this sat down that this was the restaurant part of the eating establishment and that there are waitresses. There was no indication anywhere that there was a server. She complained out loud repeatedly in front of everyone sit... View all feedback.
This place is amazing! It always has a long line and I always get food here every time I come to RDU. I also buy cookies and croissants to take home as my family also loves this place. They travel surprisingly well. Give yourself time as this restaurant is always packed so you can't ever just run in and grab something. I do see they have a coffee cart for some grab n go items but that is pretty limited.
Food and bar service by Corina was fantastic! Hope she's here next time I'm in the RDU airport!
Breakfast Lunch Bar I had an early flight out of Raleigh and was hoping to find a place to grab a coffee and some food and La Farm is strategically located right as you descend from the security area. The line was a little long on the to-go side so I opted for a seat. The waitress was there momentarily and got my order in and on the way.The menu is somewhat limited in size, which was fine. I opted for a deluxe breakfast sandwich which was bacon, eggs and cheese on a ciabatta roll.I will tell you here and now, I've eaten a lot of crappy airport food over the years and this was, by far, one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had; airport or not.Coffee was hot and well made and went perfectly with my breakfast sandwich.Overall a very good start to my flight day and I would hit it again if at RDU.Give it a shot if in the Raleigh-Durham airport.
My wife likes to get breakfast and coffee at this La Farm Bakery Cafe inside Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU . La Farm is a popular local Triangle bakery that started in Cary in 1999: yelp.com/biz/la-farm-bak…. There are now three locations in Cary plus this location at RDU. I recently picked up a breakfast sandwich from here for a flight out. The sandwich was good. It was filling and hit the spot.My wife travels through RDU more frequently than me and has visited this La Farm multiple times. In general, she likes their pastries, thinks the food tastes good, and says this is a reliable and convenient place in the airport. I always passed La Farm during my/our travels through RDU. It 's hard to miss. It 's centrally-located in Terminal 2 (the much bigger of the two terminals at RDU . You 'll see it nearest Gate D1 when entering or exiting the terminal. At the time of writing this review, there aren 't many restaurants/eateries at RDU. Maybe a half dozen. There are more on the way. Regardless, La Farm is a good option.I got a Deluxe Breakfast Sandwich which cost $13.09 after tax and tip. La Farm 's Deluxe Breakfast Sandwiches come with meat, egg, and aged cheddar on a ciabatta roll. For my meat, I chose sausage. The other options were applewood smoked bacon and ham. Also, my sandwich was served with a side of three small orange slices. The sandwich was tasty. It was a step above fast food in terms of taste and quality. Fluffy egg, savory sausage, yummy roll, decent portion size. Even the orange slices were on point; ripe and sweet.La Farm at RDU also serves French sandwiches like the croque monsieur and croque madame. In addition to pastries and sandwiches, they offer soups, salads, and grab-and-go food. On a Thursday around 9:40am, it took me about 10 minutes from entering the line to picking up my order. Not bad. I think others behind me had to wait longer because the line got considerably longer. I got lucky and beat the rush.Service was friendly. The cashier accidentally gave me someone else 's receipt. I didn 't realize it until minutes later. It was so busy behind me that I didn 't bother to get a correct receipt. This place has dedicated seating which is nice and RDU has free Wi-Fi.My sandwich and orange slices were served in a fairly sturdy, bulky white box. With a backpack, roller bag, and my phone boarding pass out, the box was awkward to carry. I might ask for a bag next time, but then my sandwich might flip over and come apart. My point here is I think La Farm could do a better job packing their food in a way that transports better and more securely in an airport/airplane setting, like how other airport food vendors do it.At first, I incorrectly called this place L.A. Farm after the old LA Farm restaurant in Los Angeles: yelp.com/biz/stefans-at-…. I later learned that La Farm (lowercase 'a ' in North Carolina is different.
I would give this bakery 5 stars, but I only had a couple of pastries and to be honest things are a liiiittle pricey. But everything looks very very good! So I am confident it's a winner. : They have a tonnnn of varieties in their baked goods. Scones, pretzels, breads, cookies! I wanted to try one of everything! I ended up getting a cinnamon bun and a tomato basil filled baguette. The bun didn't have icing on it which I wasn't jazzed about at first, but as I was eating it, I kind of appreciated that it wasn't coated in more sugar. It ended up being sweet enough. Would recommend. The baguette came unheated, which again... not jazzed about. I would have appreciated a quick little trip to a toaster oven, but alas. It still tasted good and the bread is of amazing quality and flavor! It would just be better warm. I will probably come here next time I am at this airport.
