The Sea Bass was amazing! The NY strip was okay. The bread basket, very tasty. My only complaint would be the server was a bit slow taking our order's. Their was only two other couple's there while we visited on a Tuesday evening at 5pm. View all feedback.
What Tony Brey doesn't like about Cafe Renaissance:
Food was Better than average but we ordered a salad with our meal and the dressing was like licking a salt lick. They did apologize and agreed that it was very very salty. No discount was offered but we did eat the greens without dressing. I had the halibut and it was good but a bit undercooked. Came with scallops which were perfectly seared and cooked. I also ordered French onion soup and it was just average. It did... View all feedback.
Hands-down, this is the classiest restaurant in Central Minnesota; don't let its strip mall location fool you.
The food is decent. The atmosphere is outdated and dark. Food is extremely overpriced. Over half the menu is Market price and outrageous. Service is mediocre. Tonight we had party of ten, my dish came almost 20 minutes after the rest of the dishes. Pretty sure they forgot my order. No apology, no adjustments on the bill, just poor service. Would not recommend our go back.
We ordered the Salmon Piccata, Mediterranean Pizza and side salads. The angel hair pasta Salmon were overcooked, there were no capers in the sauce and you could barely taste the lemon. The pizza was good but nothing to write home about. Very pricey for the quality of the meal. The service was decent.
We came here with a reservation for a birthday celebration. Our previous visits in past years were nice, but our visit in July 2024 was extremely disappointing. While the atmosphere was nice with the piano player, the restaurant is showing its age. Most importantly the food was overpriced, poor quality even left a couple in our party ill, and small portioned. The blacked halibut was not blackened and had no shrimp as menu promised, with only 3 small pieces of asparagus. The shrimp scampi were not jumbo and therefore we paid almost $30 for 5 shrimp. The kid’s macaroni and cheese was the same dish as the adult dinner serving of Mac and cheese au gratin which meant spicy and not eaten by the kiddo (also didn’t see a cookie the menu promised). I so wish we had a better experience as we have in the past but I’m afraid I won’t be returning.
Food was absolutely incredible, service was very quick and very friendly. The baklava was to die for! 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know! Everything was worth the price!
