This place is buzzing! Such a good atmosphere, great for the kids, a real family vibe. Food is top notch really impressed with our steak sandwich and fish and chips and a very reasonable price. What R Truffe doesn't like about Hatuma Cafe:
Didn’t see any savoury options for a vegan diet so bought some fries. They tasted like month old beef burger oil and could not finish. Coffee was fine. Cafe smelt of grease and was filled with children. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I would give this place 11 out of 10 if it was possible. We were met by 4 friendly happy wait staff. We ordered takeaway coffee and the most delicious savoury scone. The menu is fantastically tasty! Each meal is value for money and a total taste sensation! The staff were welcoming to all, young and old. Thank you Hatuma Cafe, you surpassed your reputation. I was a first time diner and you are on my list for repeat visits to sample more of your delicious food. I had the prawn salad.... DIVINE!
The best open steak sandwich ever and those Curly Fries are truely delicious. Totally my favourite Cafe/Restaurant in Central Hawke's Bay. Thoroughly recommend.
