We had a good time here for our first experience... Samantha, our waitress, was great and explained how everything worked. Our AYCE was quick and tasty; Samantha was attentive to every need. Good food, good service. The only negative was there were no high chair available and I thought it was a bit pricey. Recommend! View all feedback.
What H Taylor doesn't like about Gyu-kaku Hawaii:
I feel kind of terrible about this, I honestly thought we would enjoy it given all the good reviews! However, our meat quality was not good, half of our burner did not work properly and all of our food became charred, as well as tasting like propane. My husband was upset because it was either raw, or charred and inedible. I know what you’re thinking “But H., you make your own food!” Nah dude. It was not our fault and... View all feedback.
I love the food! We go to the Mililani restaurant when we come back home to visit. It 's one of our favorites.Keep in mind that everyone needs to be present to be seated.
They made us wait 45 minutes to an hour to get served, yet there were only 2 tables which already had their food when we came in and they served this one 2 top table that arrived a few minutes after us. Very rude server.
The servers are very attentive, kind, and cheerful. The food was fresh and very flavorful.
The food was delicious. I've been here 3 times now. They have an all you can eat menus with different price ranges. I believe it starts at $45 a person and goes up. Each level, you get more food options. But you have 90 minutes to complete it. The cocktails and ice cream were delicious, and if you need help with cooking, you can ask your waiter for tips. Parking: They have a parking lot but it is shared with other stores.
We got there around 3:05pm, and we waited several minutes before a waiter showed up. After we were seated, we ordered the famous all you can eat lunch. But the waiter tried to upsell, claiming the lunch of $27 will only give us 30 minutes to eat. Instead He recommended we take the $45 premium lunch. But on the lunch menu and their website, it says 70 minutes lunch time for the $27 all you can eat lunch. And lunch menu works until 4pm. We decided to leave because of the unfair treatment. The owner and the waiter should ask themselves a question-are they treating white customers the same way? i seriously doubt it. Honestly I felt we were discriminated at this place.
