Olde Beach Bakery - Waikanae

I’m actually obsessed with this place. Amazing and friendly staff, wide variety of sweet and savory treats, and tasty coffees accompanied by a rustic garden environment. I make it a point to stop in every time I visit from the States. Totally sweet and casual spot. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional :

Amazing bakery! Understated and rustic, but the food was superb without being pretentious! Was recommended from someone we knew in Wellington and we made the special trip on way back to Hamilton. Friendly and warm staff.... Wish we lived closer! The Pies... The scones... Even the milkshake....

Everything about this bakery is awesome!! Staff, bread... location, outdoor seating, herbs.... go there you won't be disappointed...

Brioche, almond crossaints, coffee. the best danishes and my husband loves the chicken pies. and holy **** the cheese scones. i had one every day i was pregnant. lol. so lucky to have such a great place just down the road. my dog is addicted to the little short bread you get with your coffee and will stare at the cup until you give it to her. lovely staff, great food. only complaint got to get there early as stock runs out so fast!
