Flatwhite - Waihi Beach

I absolutely adored this restaurant. The food and drinks were fantastic, the staff were friendly, and the view overlooking the beach was breathtaking. There was a wide variety of food options to cater to everyone's tastes, and it was the best dining experience I've had in a long time. I highly recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be coming back!

I have had the pleasure of photographing several weddings at Flat White Cafe. It is a beautiful location for a wedding, with the ceremony overlooking the stunning Waihi Beach. There are plenty of picturesque photo spots nearby and the cafe is always beautifully decorated. It is the perfect spot for a beachfront wedding in the Bay of Plenty. The meal at this restaurant was absolutely fantastic: delicious, beautifully presented, and the staff were friendly. Reservations are necessary for dinner, but walk-ins are welcome for brunch and lunch. The coffee was good, and the feijoa cider was especially enjoyable. The beef carpaccio was exceptional, and I highly recommend this place. It's always packed because it's so popular!

Came by the night prior and was not able to get a table. Apparently you have to make a reservation. We made a reservation and arrived and found out there was a 15% surcharge for holidays. Food was very good, there are plenty of vegan options on the menu. We had the vegetarian tacos (excellent) and the pumpkin salad which I liked but my partner didn’t care for. Service was good but maybe not as good as it should be for a $125 bill. We were forgotten a few times, we asked about dessert but the server never returned so no review on that. The restaurant wasn’t packed so not sure why. Overall good, if the bill was $80 I would say amazing.

We really enjoyed the dinner. 1 child, 2 teens and 3 adults. There was no complaints. The service was fantastic. The food was delicious. I had the steak meal and tried a bit of the Salmon. My steak was cooked to perfection and the Salmon just melts in your mouth. Beautiful flavours I took my little dog and we sat outside. Our waitress who was awesome brought her out treats. Nothing was problem. The other 2 adults i went with are chefs and they really enjoyed their meals. Definately worth going here. We will be back
