Leilehua Golf Course - Wahiawā

The staff member at the Pro Shop, an older gentleman, was incredibly rude and discriminatory toward me. I've never encountered such disrespect at any golf course before. He acted as if allowing me to play was a favor, and when I handed him my card, he simply tossed it onto the counter. This behavior is highly unprofessional and warrants dismissal.

All the employees were fantastic. We played quickly, but that’s just part of the game. The service was above average. To sum it all up, I had the best round of golf I’ve had in many years, thanks to the fantastic staff, their assistance, and the overall atmosphere. Leilehua, I’ll definitely be back when I can. Lastly, thanks to my uncle for the invitation, and to my teammates—you know who you are—for making it such a perfect day of golf.

Here’s an honest and constructive critique: The restaurant needs to address the situation with Phil, the gentleman who works at the bar. While it's admirable that he is still strong and active at 81 years old, his demeanor can vary greatly depending on the day. He can be friendly one moment and unkind the next, which can be quite abrasive. Locals may be more forgiving of his behavior due to their cultural understanding of the Kupuna concept, but for most first-time visitors, interacting with him can significantly detract from their overall experience. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to consider how his attitude impacts new patrons.

Hasn't played leilehua for years. now it played 4 times a month! one of the best places on the islands. the curs is in good shape. I hope it does what looks like to be a hot summer, uncatched. the fairways are generous and in quite good shape. the rough is in some spots, but still very playable. it can be thick, right around the green, but fair. sand traps are in good shape and have driven a good amount of sand vs local muni cement dirty. the greens are good. very subtle pauses against the 80s leilehua, when everything broke into the pine fields. I guess as the pine fields left, so the rule was also gone, if they didn't play for one because, are many trees that used to define some holes. 3 looks completely different with the huge tree, the piercing that it really is a dog bone long gone. Moreover, all the ironwoods that are 3 out of 6 are just a memory. the huge tree hanging over 4’s right side is cut away or a brow back. after my fading memory the huge tree, which has jutted into the right side of 14, is gone. used to fit a duck hook player. eating in leilehua was always good. a very cut-down menu leaves some decent decisions for the reciprocating grinding. hit her right now!

This is more 3.5 even 3.75 stars. Above average course that the US Army MWR tries hard to maintain with a more than functional practice area covered matted driving range, chipping and putting . What keeps this from being 4 star or greater is how difficult it is to get a tee time. Preference is more active duty military which, as a Veteran is good with me, but there are a lot of non active duty folks with early tee times somehow.
