I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant since I was a child, but my experience today was disappointing. I saw two customers inside without masks while I was waiting for my food. As a result, I decided to wait outside for my order. Unfortunately, this has led me to the conclusion that I won't be returning. They've lost my business.
We had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant last night! After some initial uncertainty about our choices, we received excellent recommendations from the young woman at the counter. We were in the mood for something unique, and it did not disappoint. We kicked things off with dim sum, then moved on to the incredibly flavorful hot and spicy beef, and the shrimp in chili sauce was exceptional. We couldn't resist adding the hot and sour soup, which is one of our favorites. We also ordered ribs and egg rolls. To our pleasant surprise, they treated us to some almond cookies! We have leftovers for lunch today, and we will definitely be ordering from them again.
This was, without a doubt, the worst Chinese food I've ever had—and possibly the worst food I've encountered in general. It felt like I might as well have just set $50 on fire. The meal was greasy and completely unappetizing. My kids couldn't even manage to swallow what they tried. The soup was terrible and went straight into the trash. The chicken and broccoli dish was mostly broccoli, with inedible chicken that also ended up in the garbage. The chicken with garlic sauce tasted more like chicken in a sweet sauce, which was not what I was expecting at all. The lo mein was burnt—a first for me—which made it an absolute waste. The egg roll was excessively salty and simply unenjoyable. The curry chicken had mostly onions, with barely any chicken to speak of. The fried rice was dry and flavorless, adding to the overall disappointment. After that, I was hesitant to try anything else. The amount of grease was astonishing. Even the fortune cookies, clearly not homemade, went straight into the bin—I didn't want to take any chances. The cleanliness of the restaurant was concerning; how it hasn't been shut down by health inspectors is beyond me. It’s truly disheartening because I've lived in this area my entire life, and as a child, this was my favorite place. Now, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone—not even my worst enemy. This was my final attempt with them. My previous experience had been even worse, but I thought I'd give them another chance for the sake of convenience—and now I regret it. Never again.
The eggplant in garlic sauce was overly breaded and quite soggy. The shrimp was okay. I was informed that my food would take 10-15 minutes to arrive, but it ended up taking over 30 minutes. If you're in a hurry, it could be a decent choice, but I would recommend looking for better options first.
