Xristo's Cafe - Waco
Xristo's Cafe
Description
Xristos on LaSalle in Waco is celebrated for authentic Greek fare — standout lamb and beef gyros, homemade breads, tzatziki, feta fries and baklava — and owner-led hospitality. Patrons praise fresh, well-seasoned meats and classic flavors but warn of recent inconsistency in seasoning and portions, long waits, unreliable phone/online ordering, limited hours and occasional rude service. Ideal for Greek-food fans and college crowds who don’t mind call-ahead or takeout logistics, though expect occasional lapses in consistency.

The best place for Greek food in Waco. Heard they are closing down next month which is very sad, wish them all the best.
This is the BEST Greek in town. Their meat is unmatched, and the food consistently tastes fresh. We eat here nearly every Fri nite. My favorites: chicken gyro with classic toppings plus grilled spinach and feta, chicken rice bowl or salad with spicy chickpeas, hummus, and all the homemade bread flavors. When you see the drive thru line, don't panic. It's worth the wait. TIP: Call in your order and tell them what time you'll be there.
I prefer Xristo's gyro over others in the area. The pita is not too big and is fresh and delicious and their tzatziki sauce is great! My go to is the chicken gyro which never fails. Can't go wrong with anything.
I’ve been coming here for a couple of years and they have never failed to amaze. The ribeye and classic beef&lamb gyros are my 2 favorites.
Subpar food. Serving size is really small and they are incredibly expensive. They make you wait a long time for your food and have horrible hours. Dissatisfied with the food I got. My drink and fries they charge me 19 dollars for was small and the drink was a 99 cent can from the dollar store vibe.
