We stumbled upon this place by accident and were pleasantly surprised. The interior, cuisine, and staff all blend together so well. It's very pleasant to be in this place. As for the food, it's simply amazing. We ate enough to last us the rest of the day, even though we didn't order that much. Everything is delicious and filling. The service is also quick, despite the restaurant being full. Highly recommend. It immer... View all feedback.
What slimender doesn't like about U Borkharda:
The steak at this restaurant is overpriced and not of good quality. If you are looking for delicious food, this is not the place to go. On a positive note, they do have an English menu available. View all feedback.
Beautiful and cozy place in the restaurant there is no great selection of food. I think music could be more modern.
It's a nice place with kind women serving the customers, but nicer music and shifting away from Soviet design is advisable. Update: the food is very good.
I would argue that this restaurant is just as good as the famous Taverna around the corner. We did not make a reservation and no one greeted us at the entrance, so we continued inside and chose a table ourselves. The staff seemed indifferent at first, but then everything went smoothly. They provided us with menus, had a friendly conversation about their food, made recommendations, took our order, and our dishes arrived quickly. I decided to try the toast Skagen and grytta (yes, spelled with two t's), while my wife opted for salads, one with tongue and another with Shopska (tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, roasted peppers, bryndza cheese, and parsley). We also enjoyed green tea and a small bottle of sparkling mineral water. My dishes were authentically Swedish, resembling the original versions. I can speak from experience as we lived in Sweden for many years. The food was not bad, but it was not exceptional either. The bill came to RUR 1,850 (approximately USD 25) for the two of us, which was a great price. The atmosphere inside was nice, reminiscent of an old cavern, and there were a few tables outside as well. Overall, I would recommend visiting this restaurant at least once.

The service is excellent, the cooking is well-done, they serve local beer, and the prices are reasonable. The espresso is really good too. We have visited this restaurant multiple times this year.
