U Borkharda - Vyborg

The restaurant has a splendid atmospheric interior, located in an old building in the historical center of Vyborg, playing ethnic music of the North. The dishes of Nordic cuisine are excellent. The service is top-notch!!! I wish the owners would expand their menu with themed drinks and dishes of northern cuisine! Just pay attention to the restroom, as there is some minor wear and tear on the equipment.

We stumbled upon this place by accident and were pleasantly surprised. The interior, cuisine, and staff all blend together so well. It's very pleasant to be in this place. As for the food, it's simply amazing. We ate enough to last us the rest of the day, even though we didn't order that much. Everything is delicious and filling. The service is also quick, despite the restaurant being full. Highly recommend. It immerses you in the atmosphere of old Vyborg 100%.

I really love this restaurant. I try to visit it every time I'm in Vyborg. I really like the unusual interior. The staff is always friendly. And, of course, the food is delicious and the menu is creative. My friend even took it as a souvenir. I highly recommend it. If you definitely want to come here, I advise you to book in advance because sometimes there are no free seats. Also, be prepared for a wait when it is full, but the wait will be well worth it with the interior that you will want to take photos of and the menu you will want to read. Once you try the dishes, you will agree with me that the wait was worth it.

I would argue that this restaurant is just as good as the famous Taverna around the corner. We did not make a reservation and no one greeted us at the entrance, so we continued inside and chose a table ourselves. The staff seemed indifferent at first, but then everything went smoothly. They provided us with menus, had a friendly conversation about their food, made recommendations, took our order, and our dishes arrived quickly. I decided to try the toast Skagen and grytta (yes, spelled with two t's), while my wife opted for salads, one with tongue and another with Shopska (tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, roasted peppers, bryndza cheese, and parsley). We also enjoyed green tea and a small bottle of sparkling mineral water. My dishes were authentically Swedish, resembling the original versions. I can speak from experience as we lived in Sweden for many years. The food was not bad, but it was not exceptional either. The bill came to RUR 1,850 (approximately USD 25) for the two of us, which was a great price. The atmosphere inside was nice, reminiscent of an old cavern, and there were a few tables outside as well. Overall, I would recommend visiting this restaurant at least once.

The steak at this restaurant is overpriced and not of good quality. If you are looking for delicious food, this is not the place to go. On a positive note, they do have an English menu available.
