This restaurant offers the comforting home-cooked food and ambiance that I grew up with. Every item on the menu is exceptional and reasonably priced. The portion sizes are generous as well. With fresh, delicious meals and a friendly staff, this has become a regular spot for me. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.
What Nichole JM dislikes about Anahuac:
Service isn't that great( it's slow). Food is decent but they don't charge the prices on the menu, they charge more. Best choice in the area which has really limited options. View all feedback.

I would eat here every morning if they opened at 6:00 am instead of 6:30. But I continue and look forward to eating here on the weekends. Love their Juevos a la Mexicana with strip bacon added. This along with their hot sauce makes for the perfect breakfast. They are also the only around that has a habanero sauce that adds three perfect touch. Super friendly servers. Would highly recommend this place to anyone passing through. Sure to it's location not a quick off and on to IH 35 but if aware of it's location quick exist and back on two way side road in Von Or my Tx It's also a favorite of a number of BCSO deputies which should tell you something as well about the food.

The owner of the restaurant did not expect so many people to come in to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday, whom she had invited the weekend before. When we all showed up with my mother-in-law, she did not expect close to 20 of us, but she was quick to accommodate all of us. Food served was excellent. True Mexican food well served and I'm picky on my food. No yellow cheese on my Mexican food. Place is small but very inviting and comfortable. Everyone of my family was very pleased with the service given including my mother-in-law when the owner surprised her with a birthday cake. 5 stars on my end for Anáhuac Restaurant.

Really a home town kinda place, located right off of IH35 in the city of Von Ormy. I guess the only caveat is the lack of pricing on the menu. The coffee was great and service was like my grandmother asking if I needed anything else! Highly recommend trying them for breakfast. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This restaurant is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the visit. We began our meal with coffee and an order of churros accompanied by Nutella and grape jelly. I ordered the entomatadas, which came with rice and beans. The meal was enjoyable; the rice and beans were among the best I’ve had. The sauce served in the molcajete is incredibly delicious, and they offer two other tasty options as well. This place is a must-try! Food rating: 4.
