The first menu of Cornelia Fischer as chef of “Weinstock” is good, although handmade. What she can only show interesting at the Amuses and the Petit Vieren. The “voices” to the individual courses also point to the ambitions of the cook, but they did not live this in the menu itself (still). It seems to me that in the house it is about consolidation in the gourmet restaurant to secure the Michelin star – and that is pure guess – also to strive for higher Christmas. I cannot imagine anything else if I observe how agile Cornelia Fischer is present and its ambitions are at the table with sympathy and passion. Only in this way makes it sense that the owners of the "Schwane" a cook with this Vita after the separation from the man who had just cooked the star.

Nice place, we hear! We just didn’t get a chance to see it or taste it! Online. Day before hoping for some luck. Google. Got telephone number. Called it. Asked for table. Got put on waiting list. Got called back. Got table. Booked expensive room with hats. Drove an afternoon with pleasure after a hard week of work. Got there. Brushed teeth. Combed hair. Dressed up, smiles, and were kicked out of entrance by snotty nose and told to go down stairs. We did and ate. Not at Weinstock as reservation was intended and assumed but used to fill „downstairs“. Told it was same kitchen and …. Ordered bubbles, ate 3 courses that would have given replete to an army of hungry blokes… Paid too much but lovely waiter…. Well, if you drive with anticipation as we did after an exhausting week of work to end up eating an average kitchen… If we ran our business like that…. Give the place a miss and go somewhere professional. Eat and be merry!
