This little jewel is amazing! all vegetarian/vegan menu. fresh and tasty! and also large portions. the atmosphere is even better. it is in a beautiful quiet gar... read more This little jewel is amazing! all vegetarian/vegan menu. fresh and tasty! and also large portions. the atmosphere is even better. it is in a beautiful quiet garden. the owner is ira ono, who is also a famous artist. he has a beautiful gift shop on the ground where they can buy his works and other local crafts. everyone was so pleasant and friendly. I wish we'd stay in the opposite for longer so we can eat here again! we are there at 11:30 a.m. and beat the hurry- it is busy and they run out of the specials. call a big group.

Although I'm not vegetarian, I found the food here flavorful. I enjoyed sitting outside under the parasol in their art garden. Also, there isa local art/craft store, and it's fun to visit while waiting for your food. There aren't many restaurants nearby the park, butthis is a great place to eat. Staffs were all friendly, and the service could be a bit slow, but you are in Hawaii, so relax andenjoy!

Do not miss eating here if you?re in Volcano. We loved the quiche, the curry special and all the fixings (soup AND salad) as well as the vegan carrot cake. Everything was fresh and so delicious and checking out Ira?s gallery and gardens wereso special. Even in the rain!
