The food... read more Our family of 14 went to Bar Amoroso for lunch. We are Italian American with roots in Vizzini. Gianni, his daughter and staff treated us like royalty. The food was typical of the area 100% fresh and absolutely phenomenal. We had the best bread we have ever eaten, antipasti and homemade pasta, not to mention coffee and dessert. We all agree it was the main at delicious food we had during our stay in Italy, and perhaps the best EVER! If you are traveling in Catania this is a must. You sit outside and just watch life and people and meet friends and when you are lucky the produce truck drives by and you can buy your stuff for dinner right there. Or you go across the street to the little supermarket. You won't find a more neighbor hood place than this and the staff is super friendly!
