What User doesn't like about Lo Scorfano:
The chef came out to tell us the specials, the fish display platter was awesome, however the fresh porcini mushrooms won out. The fettuccine with procini were so good I was tempted to have another order. The suckling pig was moist, served with roasted potatoes....The portions are very generous and service was good. The wine list is great and there are plenty of Lazio wines to sample at reasonable prices. The outside... View all feedback.
We were on this place while we explore the old town and sat outside. we were the only people to lunch. the chef bought a huge plate of fresh fish and seafood for us to choose. we choose to crawl and he said he would make crab paste for two. we were bought an interesting bread basket to munch while the lunch was cooked. When the crab pasta arrived, it looked very impressive and tasted divine. we had claws and picks and had an uncanny old time that evaded through her sweet meat. were full for anything but a coffee and limoncello that were given on the house. the bill was 57 euro a fairer value for a very unforgettable meal.
Tha. we arrived at two clocks, which according to Italian standard is not a problem (most kitchens near 3.00), but we were told we couldn't make any...pasta dishes (also as pasture takes 10 minutes to cook and sauces are in the regular prefabricated or fast to make). the waiter was not new at all and worse still very slow and forget! we chose a mixed antipasto; when we finally got it, it was ok, but not exceptionally not from the same quality I could enjoy in other local restaurants. the waiter beat maialetto (roast young boar) instead of fish; again, when I finally got it, it was very dry as it was masting out in the open all day; not especially delicious also. the best part was the kartoffels! in order to pay the bill, the waiter had forgotten that we had already made 15 euro available to him as a change for another customer! In summary: service was bad, food average best, price/quality ratio very low.
Next to the cook or the waitress not sure what she cried to her colleagues while waiting for my dinner, that was a great culinary experience. good wine and absolutely tasty full sea bass and potatoes.
Sitting in a room full of strange kink bags, maybe to add charm, but next to me was an old dentist drill! I asked to eat inside, but the door was left open, so incredibly scared. suddenly a huge, delightful man appeared,...instead of skoruffy (apparently the cook). we had no time to study the menu when he asked us if we wanted meat or fish. we said, meat, he recommended the duck, it came immediately, but it was a strange escape. my part consisted of the neck, with what looked like the saddle of a rabbit. neither the piece had much flesh on the bone. my man was a little better. the soak with him was delicious. also accompany the bratkartoffels and the zichorien. we had delicious bread to mix the sauce (very needed as not much meat). our bill was €54 for broth, water, 2 beer and 2 net. it wasn't worth money. the whole evening was like participating in a strange theatre performance. I wouldn't recommend it. viterbo has many simple trattorias with inexpensive, tasty eating. that was a break.
Saturday lunch, December, all the old city is busy with the nice Christmas market, i went here with my wife and we were very happy with the choice, nice location, large food selection, huge portions, nice staff, not too expensive bill
