What User doesn't like about Sonoma Wine Bistro Virginia Beach:
Our meal was overpriced for what we received. My dish wasn’t too bad, but my partner’s meal was a letdown at $37. Even I could tell from his plate that it was nothing special—lacking even a hint of spice. We were served a token amount of polenta and a small portion of vegetables. This used to be one of our favorite places to dine. The food and service has diminished.
Excellent meal and service but very, very noisy! Eating outside would have been preferable because the noise level inside was very distracting. Restaurant should find some ways to soften the sound because the noise bounces off all the hard surfaces.
Our expectation, based on previous visits (last year) was for a nice pre-symphony restaurant. However, it too casual and bar-like. Food was well prepared for though entree choices were limited. We should have checked current reviews!
The filet was just about the best one I've ever put in my mouth. Superb! If I lived here, this would be my favorite restaurant!
Lunch was great. The food was fresh and nicely prepared. Our server, Douglas, made us feel welcome and thanked us several times for our patronage. Simply a great venue in Town Center and I would recommend everyone give it a try.
