I particularly enjoyed the spicy pumpkin pie latte, burnt honey latte, and **** Marys. The apple frits, hot honey roasted chicken biscuit, seasonal grits, and chicken and waffles were all fantastic. I appreciate that you can customize your own breakfast with side items. They offer something for everyone, whether you're a vegetarian, carnivore, adventurous eater, or just looking for something simple. The restaurant was founded by a local. I would give them more stars if I could. Come to Richmond, Commune!

The service was efficient and I enjoyed a delicious lavender oat milk loaf. We also shared a dish of veggie fritters, and I ordered the corn flour waffles with pork sausage. Everything was fantastic. The waffles were perfectly balanced, not too sweet. I will definitely return next time I am in Virginia Beach!

We sat on the terrace, which is filled with tables, but allowed to eat more parties and, not crowded (only many tables in a small room. As soon as we sit down our waitress, Andi welcomed us almost immediately. Smiling and friendly she was very knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came out faster than expected (busy sat in the morning and was beautifully plated (see pictures). The original (Egg sandwich was as expected. Tasty, juicy with the sausage, not dry. The pig bowl was very good for most. The pulled pig was great. I did not notice if they had a pulled pork sandwich/plate, but if so, I would recommend it very much. The potatoes would have used a little more time in the pan, the onions that my agitator was quite perfect (not excessively boiled, nor runny. I was 't a fan of white sauce, which seemed a kind of ranch that dressed me, and I really threw 't like the paprika (the hot variety only completely (always still had the cap and seeds, but these were smaller things. The taste of the pulled pork for him and when we go back, I will probably get the same, minus the white sauce. All in all, a delicious meal, friendly service and cost to expect, a hip cafe on the beach. Came back a second time and got the pulled pork chop without the sauce and some pickled mustard seeds on the side. Delicious and sharp.

We walked in and got the last two seats at the barn. Our server was great and explained howpretty much everything is sourced locally which is great. My wife started with the Lavender Burnt Honey Latte and she said itwas one of the best drinks she?s ever had. We then ordered Chicken Waffles and Biscuits Gravy. Both were so good and a lotof food. The atmosphere was great and the place was packed the entire time. If you are close by here and looking for a greatexperience, I?d highly recommend!

The food is locally sourced and delicious. The grit bowl was not what I expected in size butamazingly surprised at the amount of grits and bacon that was in the bowl. Barely finished it with help from my wife. She gotthe VEdge sandwich which was also tasty with the sweet potato. Coffee tasted strong and flavorful unlike generic diner lightblend bland strength in my opinion. Very enjoyable experience and I encourage people to take the walk from the boardwalk tovisit this place for breakfast. Gotta come back for lunch.
