This is a typical small town Chinese restaurant and the menu is decidedly Canadianized. I typically prefer a more authentic menu and i was a little concerned however the food was very good. We had the curried chicken and ginger beef along with a few other things and they were very very good. The ginger beef is closer to a beef with black bean sauce than what some might be expecting but very good. View all feedback.
What Lori Ritchie doesn't like about W & L Chinese Restaurant:
Chow main was just cabbage ans carrots no noodles. The fried rice had frozen veggies that were not cooked and the egg rolls I can do better myself I think they were store bought and frozen no taste and nothing in them. I like to support local but I won't go back. Sorry Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$40–50 View all feedback.

Wish they had crispy ginger beef. The pork ribs and black bean sauce are amazing! Great peopl!
I ordered Sweat sour pork, Chicken fried rice, and Ginger beef. The sweet sour pork is bland. You can barely tastes anything. The pork were coated with too much flour. The fried rice is okay, nothing extraordinary. But the ginger beef is very salty with no hint of ginger. You can barely see the beef. Overall I gave it a 2 star because the serving was big but the flavours are not what’s advertised.
